Pet Odour Problems

Pet Odour Cat

We all love our pets, but sometimes they leave unwanted odours behind.

Cats are very clean but can mark their territory or can have accidents due to stress or medications. Their urine is very potentate due to their high protein diet and small volume. Dogs on the other hand love to roll around in stinky stuff out doors and want to bring it inside. You have to treat these problems different. Our pets are territorial and scent driven. Some owners don’t smell it but others do.

Here are a few tips to getting rid of the odors. Trust the professionals at Prep’nSell to do it right.

Prep’nSell uses a black light to identify where the cats have gone, then we can correct the problem. Carpets are the toughest. We use an acidic mixture and put it into the back of the carpet and extract it out with a patented head about a minute later. This get to the subfloor, and underpad where the odors are coming from. You have to get to the source of the problem. Then we put neutralizing solution into the back of the carpet to remove the odors. Cleaning the top just does not work.

This system can be used on Concrete and some wood floors.

Stained Floor

Dogs on the other hand can make carpets stink. The best way to remove this odor is to vacuum the carpet thoroughly, spray liberally a strong deodorizer or special enzyme solution on the carpet, let it sit there for 20 minutes then steam clean the carpets and reapply the deodorizer when finished. Use a fan to speed the drying of the carpet.

Animals can sometimes return to the same area, so you have to be watchful. Always use safe and non toxic products around your pets and children.
