Re/Max Realtron is very proud to be a major sponsor of Foster Parents Plan, a member of Plan International, a humanitarian, child-focused development organization working with families and their communities to meet the needs of children around the world. Non-political, and with no religious affiliations, Plan International aims to build a better world for children, now and in the future.
Plan International is one of the world's largest development organizations working in 45 developing countries, investing about $357 million last year on health, education, livelihood, housing, water and sanitation projects, and cross-cultural learning. Child sponsorship is the foundation of the organization, which is currently helping 1.3 million children all over the world, together with their families and communities.
The Foster Parents Plan Mission is to achieve lasting improvements in the quality of life of children in developing countries through a process that unites people across cultures and adds meaning and value to their lives by:
- enabling children, their families and their communities to meet their basic needs and to increase their ability to participate in and benefit from their societies;
- fostering relationships to increase understanding and unity among peoples of different cultures and countries;
- promoting the rights and interests of the world's children.
We at RE/MAX Realtron Realty Inc. Brokerage currently sponsor more than 60 children. Our goal is to sponsor 100 children by December 31, 2006 as part of our responsibility to the Human Community on Planet Earth.
